It’s been 3 days since the bank holiday weekend and I’m still thinking of the food festival me and Lucy went to at Blenheim Palace on Monday. No, we’re not the ‘getting-drunk-in-the-club’ types. We love food. FREE food. So this bank holiday, we were our true foodie selves and hit the freebies at the festival, all in the beautiful setting of Blenheim Palace.
With the evenings drawing in and the air getting cooler, it’s time to dust off our boots, dig out our scarves and embrace Autumn (and soon, Winter!) to the max! I’ve been dying to write this post since I landed back home on Monday night and now I’ve just about got over my city-break blues and cheese induced coma to get it up on the blog. Me and Lucy booked this trip way back in February and somehow it rolled around double-quick and we were off to our Air bnb last Friday for 4 days of exploring this wonderful city.
Robes on, hair up, massage booked. This Saturday was set to be a good one! Me and 6 of my girlfriends spent our Saturday at the Ardencote Hotel and Spa in Warwick and it couldn’t have been a more relaxing, fun and loony weekend if we tried! The occasion? None! Just an excuse to be in each others company surrounded by a bit of luxury!
Sometimes you can be all give and no take, burning the candle at both ends trying to juggle your job, social life, finances and health regime. A lot can be said for pausing all of that for a moment to really concentrate on giving yourself a bit of TLC.
After an amazing weekend visiting my travel girls in Birmingham which included late nights, lots of alcohol and plenty of food (and chocolate – hello Cadbury world!), I could have succumbed to my bed as soon as I got back to do sweet fa, curled up in a ball with my mahoosive bar of dairy milk and Netflix. Instead my sister came over and suggested a walk… I reluctantly agreed but am actually glad I did.
