Florida part 2: Universal Studios

After the magic of Disney, we didn’t think we could top it. But Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are two parks not to be missed if you’re travelling to Orlando. Connected by the Hogwarts Express, (and the Citywalk) these two huge parks are packed full of intense thrill rides and fun stuff to see. Continue reading

Florida part 1: My guide to Disneyworld

After a two month hiatus, I think a post all about my holiday will be a welcome instalment on the Positiff Blog! The first part of my Florida posts is a guide to Disney. It was as magical as people say, even for two 25 year olds! However, the sheer size of the parks, number of rides, attractions and places to eat, as well as planning your transport can be a bit of a headache, so hopefully this guide will give you an idea of what a holiday to the ‘most magical place on earth’ will mean.

Solo travel: empowering not dangerous

The news of backpacker Grace Millane in New Zealand broke my heart. I got really upset about it and how her family have lost their daughter, how she won’t be able to return home to them and share all her stories of her travels. Why staycations can be the best vacations

A lot can be said for the humble UK break. It was all I ever knew growing up. My Mum and Dad would pack us into the car, up to our eyeballs in suitcases and pillows, the windbreak and bucket and spades crammed between us, for the 5 hour drive down to Cornwall nearly every year until we were 16 – and we loved it. A quick guide to Copenhagen

Another city break done with my two girls Lucy and Karolina and this one didn’t disappoint. There’s nothing like a change of scenery to lighten my mood and feed my need for travel and adventure. Continue reading

A week at the Riu Guanacaste – Costa Rica

After our week of adventure touring the gorgeous Costa Rica, it was time for some R&R at the Riu Guanacaste, in Playa Matapolo. For starters, we were upgraded to a family room with side sea view which was beautiful. I’ve never been to such a big hotel before. It has over 700 rooms, 3 inter-connected pools, 5 a la carte restaurants and 5 bars, including a 24 hours sports bar.  Continue reading

Our first week in Costa Rica: Top tips and what to see

Pura Vida you lovely lot! Something I’ve been hashtagging the sh*t out of these past two weeks whilst living it up in Costa Rica with my best friend Sally. It means ‘pure life’ or ‘simple life’ but is ultimately a way of life. The Costa Rican culture and people had us enthralled from the start, and visiting a new place never fails to get me excited and appreciating things outside my little bubble. I’ve put together a post about where we went and some tips for if you go yourself! Why not go and watch the video I created over on my YouTube channel HERE – and I’ll love you forever if you subscribe whilst you’re there 😊
